Partner Organization Toolkit
Welcome, partners
Give Jefferson 2026 runs October 15 to December 31, 2026, and every one of the 36 partner organizations is a big part of how we reach our neighbors. United Good Neighbors (UGN) asks all partners to take part in a meaningful way. In return, we promise you the tools, copy, and graphics to reach and grow your own audience.
Think of it this way: your supporters already trust you. When you tell them about Give Jefferson, the whole county's safety net gets stronger, including your corner of it.

The most useful thing you can tell your supporters: they can give through Give Jefferson and choose your organization. That keeps their gift close to the work they already love while counting toward the county-wide goal.
Give to the General Fund. The easiest way to give. UGN distributes the fund to all 36 organizations at the end of the campaign.
Choose where your gift goes. Donors can browse the online catalog and name a specific organization (yours!) or a category when they give.
Give monthly. A small recurring gift keeps help flowing all year, because need doesn't take January off. It can also be easier on a household budget.
Give by mail. The 2026 Give Jefferson brochure goes to every Jefferson County household by bulk mail. Donors can return it with a one-time or monthly gift.
Give at work. Businesses can host a workplace giving campaign so employees give through automatic payroll deductions.
Match it. Employers can match what their staff raise, or set a goal and challenge staff to unlock the match together.
All gifts are tax-deductible and every dollar stays in Jefferson County. Online gifts start at givejefferson.org.

Give Jefferson flyers, yard signs, and bookmarks are ready for partners to pick up after October 19 at the Jefferson Community Foundation's Nonprofit Resource Center, 2409-A Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA.
A few ideas for putting them to work:
🪧 Yard signs out front of your office, program sites, or a volunteer's porch
📄 Flyers on your front desk, community boards, and in the bags or boxes you hand out
🔖 Bookmarks tucked into thank-you notes, mailings, and anything going home with a client or volunteer

Our 2026 Messaging & Sample Copy guide has the slogan, the core message, ready-to-use lines, the seven areas of need, two sample social posts, and a sample blurb for your own emails. Use any of it on your website, social posts, newsletters, and outreach. It works best paired with a real moment from your own programs.

Every email your staff sends between now and December 31 is a tiny billboard. Add a Give Jefferson logo that links to givejefferson.org, plus one line of text:
“Proud partner of Give Jefferson 2026. The Need is Now. The Answer is Us! Donate today”
Logos and files can be found at the bottom of this page.
For step-by-step help, use your email provider's instructions for a hyperlinked image in a signature.

Website platforms vary too much for one set of instructions, but the content is simple. Add a Give Jefferson logo to your homepage with this text:
The Need is Now. The Answer is Us! [YOUR ORGANIZATION] is a proud partner of United Good Neighbors' Give Jefferson campaign, supporting 36 local organizations keeping our neighbors safe, fed, housed, and cared for. Donate today, and choose [YOUR ORGANIZATION] when you give.
All "Donate today" and "Give" links should lead to givejefferson.org. Campaign graphics for your site, emails, and social posts are available here: [GRAPHICS LINK].

Follow @ugn_givejefferson on Instagram and like Give Jefferson on Facebook. Then aim for at least 4 posts between October 15 and December 31. More is always welcome if you have the time and stories to share. Feel free to reshare UGN's posts when you see one you like.
Every post should:
Tag Give Jefferson: @ugn_givejefferson on Instagram, @givejefferson on Facebook
Include #GiveJefferson
Link to givejefferson.org (on Instagram, add it to your bio or a Story link sticker)
Include a photo of your program in action. Posts with images get far more views.
Stay positive and focus on the people you serve
UGN will feature every partner in spotlight post between October 19 and December 28. We will tag you if you have an Instagram or Facebook Account. Accept a collaboration request and the post shows up on both our feeds, doubling who sees it. Then share it to your Stories that day.

One true, specific moment moves people more than any statistic. UGN and partners should all be sharing short anecdotes (50 words or less) plus photos of programs and services in action.
A simple story recipe:
The moment. One person, one day, one need. ("A grandmother raising two grandkids called us on a Tuesday...")
What your team did. Plainly, in a sentence.
What changed. The relief, the next step, the door that opened.
The link. "Give Jefferson helps make moments like this possible."
Sample, in a client's own words:
"When you're homeless it's easy to feel stuck. To wake up each day and ask yourself, 'How did I get here?' 'How can I possibly get out?' At times you decide there's no point in trying. You lose faith in yourself. When people show you kindness and organizations help, it reminds you that you're seen as a human being, that you deserve love, and that you can keep going. And if you do, it can get better."

Content Privacy Tips:
Get written consent before sharing any client's words or photo.
Change or leave out names and details that could identify someone.
Composite stories are fine if you say so ("based on the families we serve").
For programs serving children or survivors of violence, show hands, spaces, volunteers, and supplies instead of faces.
Talk with your team about what feels respectful before anything is posted.
Send UGN your story. Email one story and one photo to andrea@jcfgives.org for a spotlight, and we will feature it on Give Jefferson's channels.
