2026 Organizations That need your Help
Weekend Nutrition Program
Help feed Quilcene and Brinnon students over the weekend.
Weekend Nutrition Program volunteers pack and deliver food bags, open to all 300 students, with no forms or proof of income. Nearly 1,000 bags went out last year. Your donations provide 80% of the program's funding.
Reach Out
Help expand a community kitchen so more home-cooked meals reach neighbors in need.
Reach Out cooks and delivers about 200 meals a week to homebound seniors, people experiencing homelessness, and others without transportation. Its kitchen has reached capacity, and your gift helps fund an expansion so no one is turned away.
Port Townsend Kiwanis Backpacks for Children
Help send weekend meals home with Port Townsend students who need them.
Port Townsend Kiwanis volunteers filled 3,377 bags with over 20,000 meals and snacks for more than 160 students last school year. School counselors quietly identify students in need. There is no paid staff, so donations buy food.
Olympic Peninsula Farm to Food Bank Fund
Help put fresh, locally grown food into Jefferson County food banks.
The Olympic Peninsula Farm to Food Bank Fund uses every contribution to buy locally-raised fruits, vegetables, meat and seafood for hunger relief organizations. Your gift helps serve over 6,500 people while supporting local farms.
Nourishing Beloved Community
Help deliver fresh, organic food from local growers to neighbors who need it.
Nourishing Beloved Community provides organic produce, plant starts, and garden tools to about 200 people from BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA and immigrant communities. Every dollar buys food from local BIPOC and Queer/Trans growers, supporting 20 to 30 farm families too.
Jefferson County Food Bank Association
Help put nutritious food on the tables of neighbors who need it.
With about 300 volunteers, the Jefferson County Food Bank Association serves roughly 850 households a week at three food banks and four pop-up sites. Cash gifts buy the protein, staples and produce that donations don't cover.
Jefferson County Farmers Market
Help families and seniors stretch their food budgets with fresh produce from local farms.
Jefferson County Farmers Market matches SNAP, WIC and senior nutrition benefits so they buy twice as much. Its four food access programs serve 1,500 to 2,000 low-income households a year, and every dollar supports a local farm.
Food Bank Growers
Help keep ten community gardens and an orchard growing fresh food for local food banks.
Food Bank Growers volunteers grew and gleaned over 40,000 pounds of produce last year and gave all of it away to the Food Bank Association and more than 30 other nonprofits. About $500 keeps one garden going for a year.
Community Wellness Project
Help students grow fresh food for their own school lunches.
Community Wellness Project runs Chimacum's school gardens, where students grow produce that goes straight into the school kitchen. With the district's meal program facing a deep deficit, garden-grown food eases the budget and puts fresh food on trays.
Chimacum Backpacks for Kids
Help send weekend meals home with Chimacum students who might otherwise go hungry.
The 30 volunteers at Chimacum Backpacks for Kids pack and deliver weekend food bags, each with six meals plus snacks, to roughly 144 children every week. A record 4,757 bags went out last school year. Each bag feeds a child for a weekend.
