The Winter Welcoming Center offers warmth, food, WiFi, clothing and connections to services, seven days a week from mid-November to mid-April, with no barriers to entry. Last season it welcomed 5,479 guest visits. 

Help feed Quilcene and Brinnon students over the weekend. 

Weekend Nutrition Program volunteers pack and deliver food bags, open to all 300 students, with no forms or proof of income. Nearly 1,000 bags went out last year. Your donations provide 80% of the program's funding. 

Help children in foster and kinship care build lasting relationships with caring adults. 

Olympic Angels pairs trained volunteers with foster and kinship families and matches youth with mentors. In Jefferson County, 75% of caregivers said the program helped children stay in a stable home rather than move again.

All-volunteer St. Vincent de Paul provides fast emergency help with rent, utilities, car repairs and other necessities, with no government funding. It has helped 962 households so far this fiscal year, usually within a week of their call. 

Help keep a welcoming space open for people rebuilding their lives in recovery. 

Recovery Café of Jefferson County offers meals, recovery circles, emergency services, and connections to housing and care, with no appointment or screening required. Your gift buys meals, blankets, tents, hygiene supplies, solar battery packs and hand warmers heading into winter. 

Help low-income homeowners get urgent repairs made fast. 

REPAH's all-volunteer board works with local contractors to fix failed water heaters, furnaces, plumbing and septic systems, often within days. It helped 25 households in 2025, most of them elderly, as requests doubled. 

Help expand a community kitchen so more home-cooked meals reach neighbors in need. 

Reach Out cooks and delivers about 200 meals a week to homebound seniors, people experiencing homelessness, and others without transportation. Its kitchen has reached capacity, and your gift helps fund an expansion so no one is turned away. 

Help keep the only mental health care many Quilcene students can reach after county funding ends this winter. 

One day a week, a licensed clinician at Quilcene School provides free counseling, crisis response and suicide prevention to students. In a small rural community with few providers, there is often nowhere else to turn.

Port Townsend School District places licensed clinicians at the high school and Blue Heron Middle School, offering free counseling, crisis response and suicide prevention. For many students, school is the only place they can get care. 

Help send weekend meals home with Port Townsend students who need them. 

Port Townsend Kiwanis volunteers filled 3,377 bags with over 20,000 meals and snacks for more than 160 students last school year. School counselors quietly identify students in need. There is no paid staff, so donations buy food. 

Help young people find safe housing and a path to independence. 

OWL360 is Jefferson County's only organization dedicated to housing and stabilizing youth ages 14–25. In 2025, 82% of its housing program graduates moved into permanent housing, and its drop-in center, The Nest, logged 4,506 visits. 

Help families facing hardship get food and fast, flexible help with essentials. 

The Olympic Peninsula YMCA's School's Out Food Pop-Ups have provided more than 24,000 meals to 227 families in 2026. Its Resource Navigators help with rent, utilities, transportation and other urgent needs, and demand is growing fast. 

Help put fresh, locally grown food into Jefferson County food banks. 

The Olympic Peninsula Farm to Food Bank Fund uses every contribution to buy locally-raised fruits, vegetables, meat and seafood for hunger relief organizations. Your gift helps serve over 6,500 people while supporting local farms.

Help adults with developmental disabilities stay together and cared for through an unexpected move. 

Olympic Neighbors runs the county's only licensed adult family home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With their lease ending and permanent homes still under construction, your gift helps secure and prepare a safe temporary home.

Help families in financial crisis get flexible support when it matters most. 

Org description: OlyCAP has served Jefferson County since 1966 with energy assistance, weatherization, housing, community meals and emergency aid, and its three community centers logged 64,230 visits in 2025. Unrestricted gifts let it help when a family's needs don't fit one program. 

Help deliver fresh, organic food from local growers to neighbors who need it. 

Nourishing Beloved Community provides organic produce, plant starts, and garden tools to about 200 people from BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA and immigrant communities. Every dollar buys food from local BIPOC and Queer/Trans growers, supporting 20 to 30 farm families too. 

Help children who have experienced trauma get the therapy they need. 

Jumping Mouse Children's Center provides long-term play therapy for children ages 3–12 in Port Townsend, Chimacum and Brinnon, turning no one away for inability to pay. Demand is so high its waitlist was closed for almost a year. 

Help teens-in-need get food, clothing and support, no questions asked. 

The Jefferson Teen Center is the only walkable resource hub for Chimacum teens, offering a free store, food pantry and youth-led peer support groups. It aims to serve 40 to 60 teens despite losing $45,000 in public funding. 

Help immigrant families stay housed, fed and connected through a sudden crisis. 

Jefferson County Immigrant Rights Advocates provides emergency help with rent, utilities, food and healthcare, plus practical English classes and referrals. In 2025 it supported 130 applicants through its Legal Defense and Family Support Fund. 

Help put nutritious food on the tables of neighbors who need it. 

With about 300 volunteers, the Jefferson County Food Bank Association serves roughly 850 households a week at three food banks and four pop-up sites. Cash gifts buy the protein, staples and produce that donations don't cover.
